An especially high-quality rarity from the Gokase region, one of the most significant cultivation regions for Tamaryokucha. Here, special climatic conditions and nutrient-rich soil, enhanced through the many still-active volcanoes, are combined. This tea represents only 3% of the overall Japanese production, and demands particular expertise. Unlike other Japanese green teas it is pan fried and the leaves are coiled in shape which makes them extremely distinctive both visually and taste-wise. Through the roasting process the tea gets a unique mellow and nutty character reminiscent of almond. Fresh umami notes perfectly balance the tea and give it a very elegant and divine taste profile. The absolute perfection of Japanese tea art!
