Oolong Salty Caramel
Careful, favourite tea potential!
Interesting facts about a very special tea variety:
Oolong teas are much underappreciated in Germany. Undeservedly, we feel. These teas, which are somewhere in between the green and black varieties, are valued by connoisseurs particularly in China, where top prices are paid for award-winning oolong teas. The production is laborious and calls for knowledgeable experts; the methods are usually passed down across the generations from father to son. The tea master determines how long the leaves will be permitted to oxidise and what the complex flavour patterns will be.
As Florapharm has been a well-known supplier of tasty flavoured green tea blends for many years, we intend to remind the world of this neglected semi-oxidised tea again but have also reinterpreted it in a new way.
What is special about this flavoured treat is that the added components are in perfect harmony with the inherent taste of the oolong used. Last spring, we were already impressed by the "Roasted Sesame" oolong we launched as a new product; in the autumn/winter season, we are hitting new heights with an oolong that tastes of salted caramel.

The blend is based on an oolong sechon. Due to its strong fermentation, it provides the perfect basis for the caramel flavouring. Despite the slightly salty taste, this tea can take a tiny bit of sugar and a few drops of milk; these absolute no-nos when it comes to the classic top-quality teas are even recommended for our palate pleaser to perfect its taste.
