Rose Tea

A floral taste experience

Flavouring with blossoms:

Classic tea drinkers may turn up their noses when it comes to flavouring black or green teas. However, the blending of varieties is already a process to create new flavours, i.e. a preliminary form of flavouring. The next step to further refine a tea is to add natural components. These can be spices for chai teas, vanilla beans or essential oils, such as bergamot in Earl Grey. Herbs such as mint and lemongrass with intense, natural aromas can also be ingeniously combined with green tea, for example.

Our Rose tea is a representative of teas refined with natural flowers. Everyone is probably familiar with jasmine tea, but osmanthus blossoms are also used less frequently for green teas and oolongs.  The flowery, fragrant rose petals are particularly suitable for black teas; they harmonise wonderfully with the basic aroma and can remain in the tea and be infused (jasmine petals, for example, should be removed again after releasing their fragrance).

If you would like an even more intense rose fragrance and flavour in your tea, you are welcome to use flavoured teas. Florapharm's most popular tea from this category is Peach Rose with real rose buds and a hint of peach. A flowery-fruity poem.
