April - Black Tea Strawberry Rhubarb
Seasonal fruit in a different format –
Black Tea Strawberry Rhubarb
Strawberry and rhubarb is probably the best-known and most popular springtime combination. We are used to seeing it
n cakes, pastries, jams or compotes. But can these fruits be combined with black tea? Absolutely! After all, opposites attract.
Black tea has a spicy taste and brings out tart notes. However when it is skilfully refined with fruit, the result is a pleasantly
fresh composition of flavours that is simply unbeatable. The sweet and sour taste of strawberries and rhubarb almost plays
with the aromas of the black tea and provides a tingling pleasure.

When it is poured, the pieces of fruit and the tea leaves really swell up and exude a delicious aroma. But you must
observe the infusion time of three minutes! Therefore, this tea is perfect for a tea party in the afternoon, perhaps with
a piece of rhubarb cake! If you would like to give the whole thing a slightly creamy finish, you can add a dash of milk or cream
to the cup. Strawberries and rhubarb taste wonderful with dairy products and who, if not black tea, permits this indulgence!
